Request Deletion of Your ODELA Account
ODELA respects your privacy and provides users with a process to request deletion of their account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, and record-retention requirements.
ODELA is operated by Odela Technologies.
How to Request Account Deletion
If you would like to delete your ODELA account, you can submit a deletion request to our support team.

Please send the request from the email address associated with your ODELA account wherever possible.
Information to Include
To help us identify your account, please provide:
- Your full name
- Registered email address
- Registered phone number, if applicable
- ODELA username, if applicable
- Business name, if you manage a business listing
- A clear statement that you want your ODELA account deleted
Please do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs, or banking credentials.
Identity Verification
For security reasons, ODELA may need to verify that the deletion request was submitted by the account holder.
Verification may include confirming:
- Registered email address
- Registered phone number
- Account information
- Business ownership or authorization, where relevant
- Other reasonable information necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion
We will not intentionally ask you to provide your account password or financial authentication PINs as part of this process.
What Happens After a Deletion Request?
After receiving and verifying a valid request, ODELA may:
- Review the account and deletion request.
- Verify the identity or authority of the requester.
- Process deletion or anonymization of eligible personal information.
- Remove or deactivate applicable account access.
- Retain limited information where legally or operationally required.
Information That May Be Deleted
Depending on your use of ODELA and applicable requirements, deletion may include eligible account information such as:
- User profile information
- Account contact details
- Saved or favourite businesses
- Certain account preferences
- Other personal information associated with your account
The exact information affected depends on the services you have used.
Information That May Be Retained
Some information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
- Compliance with applicable law
- Tax or accounting requirements
- Payment and transaction records
- Fraud prevention
- Security
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement of agreements
- Establishment or defence of legal claims
- Prevention of repeated platform abuse
- Other legitimate retention requirements
Where appropriate, retained information may be restricted or separated from normal platform use.
What Happens to Reviews?
Deleting your account does not necessarily require ODELA to remove every review or contribution previously submitted through the account.
Where appropriate and permitted, certain contributions may remain available in an anonymized or de-identified form to preserve the integrity of business information and community discussions.
Content that violates ODELA policies may be handled separately.
What Happens to Business Listings?
Deleting a user account does not automatically mean that a legitimate business listing will be deleted.
Business listings may contain information about a business rather than personal information belonging exclusively to the account holder.
If you manage a business listing, ODELA may remove your management access while keeping the underlying business profile available.
If ownership or management needs to be transferred, contact ODELA before deleting your account.
Paid Memberships & Transactions
If your account has an active paid membership, advertising campaign, booking, transaction, dispute, or other ongoing service, additional information may need to be retained or the service may need to be addressed before account deletion is fully completed.
Deleting an account does not automatically create eligibility for a refund.
Refunds are governed by the applicable service terms and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Facebook or Social Login Users
If you registered or signed in using a supported third-party service such as Facebook, you may request deletion of your ODELA account using the same process described on this page.
Removing ODELA from your third-party account does not necessarily delete information already stored in your ODELA account.
Submit an account deletion request directly to ODELA if you want the ODELA account reviewed for deletion.
Withdrawal of a Deletion Request
If you change your mind, contact us as soon as possible.
Once deletion has been completed, some information may not be recoverable.
ODELA cannot guarantee that a deletion request can be cancelled after processing has begun.
Data Deletion Without Full Account Deletion
If you want to request correction or deletion of particular personal information without deleting your entire account, contact our support team and clearly describe the information involved.
We will review the request in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
Business Data Correction
If your concern relates to incorrect information on a business profile rather than your personal account, please use our business correction, claim, or support processes instead of requesting complete account deletion.
Processing Time
We aim to review verified deletion requests within a reasonable period.
Processing time may vary depending on:
- Verification requirements
- Account complexity
- Active transactions or disputes
- Business ownership issues
- Legal or regulatory retention requirements
- Other relevant circumstances
