1. Introduction

This Listing Policy explains the standards and requirements for businesses listed on ODELA, a restaurant discovery and local business directory platform operated by Odela Technologies.

Our objective is to maintain useful, accurate, trustworthy, and relevant business information for ODELA users.

By creating, claiming, managing, or submitting information for a business listing, you agree to follow this Listing Policy and other applicable ODELA policies.

2. Eligible Businesses

ODELA primarily supports restaurants and food-related businesses, including:

  • Restaurants
  • Cafés
  • Coffee shops
  • Bakeries
  • Sweet and dessert shops
  • Cloud kitchens
  • Fast-food businesses
  • Food courts
  • Catering businesses
  • Hotels with restaurants
  • Other eligible food and hospitality businesses

ODELA may introduce additional business categories as the platform expands.

ODELA reserves the right to determine whether a business is eligible for listing.

3. Accurate Business Information

All information submitted to ODELA must be accurate and reasonably current.

This includes:

  • Business name
  • Category
  • Description
  • Address
  • Map location
  • Phone number
  • WhatsApp number
  • Email address
  • Website
  • Opening hours
  • Products, menu, or services
  • Facilities and amenities
  • Business photos
  • Pricing information
  • Offers and promotions
  • Other listing information

Business owners should update their listings whenever important information changes.

4. Business Name

Use the genuine name by which the business operates.

Do not unnecessarily add:

  • Promotional phrases
  • Phone numbers
  • Website addresses
  • Excessive keywords
  • Misleading location names
  • Unrelated services
  • False claims

ODELA may edit business titles that are misleading, spam-like, or inconsistent with the actual business identity.

5. One Business, One Listing

Businesses should generally maintain one listing for each genuine physical business location.

Creating unnecessary duplicate listings is prohibited.

Businesses with multiple genuine branches may have separate listings for individual locations where appropriate.

If you discover duplicate profiles, contact ODELA rather than creating another listing.

6. Business Descriptions

Descriptions should provide useful and accurate information about the business.

Do not include:

  • False or exaggerated claims
  • Keyword stuffing
  • Misleading information
  • Offensive material
  • Illegal content
  • Unrelated advertisements
  • Impersonation
  • Malicious links

ODELA may edit or remove content that does not meet our listing standards.

7. Photos & Media

Uploaded photos and media should be relevant to the listed business.

Examples include:

  • Business exterior
  • Interior
  • Food and products
  • Menu items
  • Facilities
  • Team or business environment
  • Other genuine business-related images

Users must have appropriate rights or permission to upload submitted content.

Do not upload:

  • Copyrighted material without permission
  • Misleading images
  • Images belonging to unrelated businesses
  • Explicit or offensive content
  • Fraudulent certificates
  • Illegal material
  • Images containing malicious or deceptive information

8. Products, Menus & Services

Businesses should ensure that product, menu, service, and pricing information is reasonably accurate.

Prices, availability, ingredients, offers, and menu items can change.

Customers should confirm important information directly with the business when necessary.

9. Contact Information

Phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, email addresses, websites, and other contact information must belong to or be legitimately associated with the business.

Do not use another person’s contact information without authorization.

10. Business Location

Businesses should provide an accurate address and map location wherever possible.

Intentionally misleading location information is prohibited.

Online-only or delivery-only businesses should accurately describe their operating model where applicable.

11. Opening Hours

Business owners should maintain accurate operating hours.

Special holiday timings, temporary closures, or unexpected changes may not always be immediately reflected on ODELA.

Customers should contact the business directly when timing is critical.

12. Verification

ODELA may verify listings or business ownership where appropriate.

Verification may involve:

  • Phone verification
  • Email verification
  • Website verification
  • Public business information
  • Supporting documentation
  • Other reasonable verification methods

A Verified badge does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement of a business’s products or services.

13. Claiming a Business

Only legitimate owners, managers, authorized employees, or representatives should claim a business.

Unauthorized or fraudulent claims are prohibited.

ODELA may request evidence of authorization before approving a claim.

14. Prohibited Listings

ODELA may reject or remove listings involving:

  • Fake or nonexistent businesses
  • Fraudulent businesses
  • Illegal activities
  • Impersonation
  • Intentionally misleading information
  • Duplicate spam listings
  • Malicious content
  • Prohibited goods or services
  • Content that violates applicable law
  • Businesses that create unacceptable safety or platform risks

15. Misleading Promotions

Businesses must not publish false or deceptive:

  • Prices
  • Availability claims
  • Product claims
  • Service claims
  • Promotional information

Material terms and conditions associated with an offer should be communicated clearly.

16. Reviews & Ratings

Businesses must not manipulate ODELA reviews or ratings.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Creating fake reviews
  • Buying reviews
  • Offering improper incentives for misleading reviews
  • Threatening users to remove legitimate reviews
  • Posting reviews about competitors through fake accounts
  • Artificially manipulating ratings

Businesses may report reviews they reasonably believe violate ODELA’s Review Policy.

17. Featured & Sponsored Listings

ODELA may offer paid:

  • Membership plans
  • Featured listings
  • Sponsored placements
  • Advertising
  • Promotional services

Paid placement does not guarantee positive reviews, specific rankings, leads, bookings, sales, or business results.

Sponsored or promotional content may be identified where appropriate.

18. Listing Moderation

ODELA reserves the right to review listings and user-submitted information.

Where appropriate, ODELA may:

  • Correct formatting
  • Request additional information
  • Reject submissions
  • Remove inappropriate content
  • Merge duplicate listings
  • Suspend listings
  • Restrict management access
  • Remove listings that violate applicable policies

19. Closed Businesses

If a business permanently closes, ODELA may mark the listing as permanently closed rather than immediately deleting the entire profile.

This can help prevent confusion and preserve legitimate historical information such as reviews.

20. Reporting Incorrect Listings

If you find incorrect, misleading, duplicate, or inappropriate business information on ODELA, please contact us.

Where possible, provide:

  • Business name
  • ODELA listing URL
  • Incorrect information
  • Correct information, if known
  • Supporting details where relevant

21. Responsibility of Business Owners

Business owners and authorized representatives are responsible for information they submit or control.

They should periodically review their ODELA listing and update important changes.

22. Policy Violations

Listings that violate this policy may be edited, restricted, suspended, rejected, or removed.

Repeated or serious violations may also result in account restrictions.
